Business and Supporters
Businesses and supporters
Thanks to all our supporters who help to keep our wheels turning to provide the best possible care to all those who need us.
We are extremely grateful to have the support of some amazing organisations. Every one of our supporters is a crucial part of the Wellington Free team, helping us to stay uniquely free and here for everyone needing our help.
To join the team and find out the difference you can make, contact our Fundraising Manager Laura Golland on 04 498 9679 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Principal Community Partner
The Lloyd Morrison Foundation has been our Principal Community Partner for three years, funding our Heartbeat CPR training programme, a number of ambulances for our community and staff training.
The Lloyd Morrison Foundation is an incredible supporter of ours. Every year they help us to run our community CPR training program, Heartbeat, and help us to purchase new ambulances for our fleet. Their generosity makes a significant impact on the lives of everyone in our region. We are thrilled to have them as our Principal Community Partner.
Our community partners have been loyal supporters for a number of years, some since we began in 1927. Their contributions have kept us free for all those who need us, and their support will continue to keep us free for many years to come.
Lion Foundation has supported us for many years with the purchase of emergency and patient transfer ambulances, and life-saving equipment. Their very generous support makes a huge difference.
Lottery Community has recently come on board as a supporter, helping us fund the more practical aspects of running our service, and allowing our paramedics to focus on the most important thing: taking care of our patients.
New Zealand Community Trust
New Zealand Community Trust is a long standing supporter, assisting with the purchase of new ambulances and vital equipment. Their commitment to supporting us makes a big difference to our communities
The Odlin Trust
The Odlin Trust are another integral part of the Wellington Free whānau. They have funded 34 ambulances and their dedicated support is part of the reason why we are still here and still free.
The Philipp Family Foundation
The Philipp Family Foundation was the principal funder for our new Kāpiti Ambulance Station in 2016. With their support, we created a modern station to meet the needs of the people of Kāpiti. It was an amazing gift that will serve our community for years to come.
Pub Charity has supported Wellington Free for many years with the purchase of ambulances and life-saving equipment. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support.
The Thomas George Macarthy Trust
The Thomas George Macarthy Trust has assisted with the purchase of vital equipment for over 15 years. Being able to rely on organisations like these to help fund life-saving equipment makes a huge difference.
The Walter and Rana Norwood Family Trust
The Walter and Rana Norwood Family Trust was set up by the Norwood family. They have supported us since 1927 and are dedicated to providing the best possible care for people across Wellington and Wairarapa.
Rapid Relief Team
We are really pleased to collaborate with Rapid Relief Team this year. Their amazing volunteers are already supporting our work and the work of all our colleagues across the emergency services sector. Their support this year is helping us to make sure we can be there whenever we are needed.
We work with a number of Business Partners who make a significant contribution every year, because they believe everyone should have access to the best possible health care when they need it.
MedicAlert Foundation has worked with Wellington Free Ambulance for over 25 years. They regularly make generous donations to Wellington Free, for which we are truly grateful.
Price Waterhouse Coopers
Price Waterhouse Coopers host an incredible race every two years to raise money for local causes. The event sees teams of people complete a 100km relay race from Wellington to the Wairarapa whilst raising significant funds for charity. We've been lucky enough to be recipients twice now!
Rymans Healthcare has helped fund initiatives including our Clinical Paramedic Advisors, who work in our 111 communications centre supporting paramedics on the road, and advising and caring for people over the phone.
St Johns Bar’s
St Johns Bar’s building was once a Wellington Free Ambulance station, and in honour of our shared history, St John’s Bar supports us by hosting fundraising events each year and being great people to work with.
Summerset Holdings and their villages in the region are avid supporters. From head office through to the residents everyone knows the importance of the services we provide and we love supporting them to fundraise.
Todd Corporation has generously helped us purchase new equipment and ambulances for many years. We value their support immensely and their dedication to keeping people in our region safe.
Tommy’s Real Estate
Last year Tommy’s Real Estate made a fantastic commitment to supporting us. They make very generous donations to help keep our unique service free and support us with fundraising initiatives and community engagement.
Wellington region New Worlds
Our local New Worlds are amazing supporters. They are active supporters of Onesie Day, and collect for us throughout the year in store with donation boxes. They are always happy to help us with events and catering, and we really appreciate their support.
Business and Community Supporters
We work with an amazing group of Business and Community Supporters to ensure we're there when their communities need us most.
