Clinical Hub Manager
Taking healthcare to the patient in the community is what we do. We are in a time of exciting change as we work together, and with our partners to begin to build an integrated system that gets people the care they really need.
As the Clinical Hub Manager will provide operational management support to ensure the delivery of the highest quality patient care from the Clinical Hub in the Clinical Communications Centre.
This will involve the provision of clinical support, leadership, active mentoring, conflict resolution, personnel management, stakeholder management, project management and maintaining a high professional profile and standard.
This is a new role which means the successful applicant will have the fantastic opportunity to develop and grow the role.
We are looking for someone with:
- a clinical background (Bachelor’s Degree in Paramedicine or equivalent level clinical qualification is essential)
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- strong planning and organisational skills
Experience as a Paramedic is preferred as is management or leadership experience, but is not essential
The Clinical Hub Manager position is fulltime and based at our head office/Thorndon station.

Graduate Intern Ambulance Officer
Wellington Free Ambulance is currently seeking applicants for its one year Graduate Intern programme.
This highly sought after programme provides a great opportunity for graduates of a Bachelor of Health Science in Paramedicine to gain on-the-job experience alongside a dedicated preceptor.
This programme will provide a structured and supported learning environment to enable you to develop independent skills to gain an Authority to Practice (ATP) as an Emergency Medical Technician.
After one year of consolidation all staff are able to apply for the Paramedic ATP.
We are seeking applicants who have:
- A New Zealand Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedicine) degree or overseas equivalent (or completing in the year of application)
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence
- The ability to work full time on a rostered and rotating shift cycle including night shifts
Wellington Free accepts applications all year round however will run four graduate intakes throughout the year.
Please note: International applicants must be available for a phone interview during the dates indicated. National and international shortlisted applicants must also be available to be in Wellington for the assessment centre dates indicated. You will only be required to attend one day.
Third year students graduating in 2020 can apply anytime from the Winter intake. Employment will be conditional on successfully passing the degree programme.
